Professional Development Reflection / Action Plan Rubric
Colleagues, Terry here. Wes seems to have created this without realising that I have been working on this too. I suggest we look at this and mine, and merge them to get the best of both.
Please edit this to make it better.
To earn professional development credit (CPE credit) for watching and reflecting on a K12 Online Conference presentation, a participant must create an online (web-accessible) reflection and action plan which includes the following elements:
Takeaways: Primary learning points from the presentation
Questions: Questions the participant has now after viewing the presentation
Action/Implementation Ideas: A description of how the participant plans to take action integrating the ideas of the presentation into his/her professional practice
These reflections / action plans can be posted to the web in a variety of ways:
As a blog post to a personal blog or a social networking site blog, like the Classroom 2.0 Ning
As a page on a wiki site created by the participant
As a narrated digital story created with VoiceThread, BubbleShare, or another website permitting voice-annotated images
As a narrated digital story created with a software tool like PhotoStory3, Moviemaker, or iMovie.
Participants are responsible for insuring the content (both images and audio) used in their web-posted reflection complies with copyright / intellectual property laws. Use of Creative Commons licensed images in published digital stories is encouraged.
